What our culinary travellers have to say …

We started by taking local transport for 5 minutes followed by a short walk, sampling Thai food along the way. Also visited a great little coffee shop which has been in the same family for 5 generations. Then on and off a long-tail boat around the klongs and more tastings - we had the most delicious chilli prawns I have ever tasted. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in an authentic experience.

To say it was fantastic is an understatement, we had Mod (apologies if spelt wrong) as our guide and she was fantastic, great fun, very good English and very knowledgeable. She entertained with stories that included the guests and shared so much history and facts about food and Bangkok. Apart from the food and restaurants all stops were highlights including the Wat and lotus flower preparation, flower market and secret rooftop bar with magnificent views over the river.

Great tour guide, motorbike drivers, and organized tour! This tour was just perfect! We went to some restaurants that I would highly recommend. If I have chance, I will definitely visit them again! The Elephant God Temple was nice, but I wish we could stay there longer. I was worried about the safety of taking a motorbike in Bangkok because of the terrible traffic, but the driver was considerate. I even saw one participant was using GoPro. So, there is nothing to worry about actually!

Thonburi is the area across the Chao Phraya River from Bangkok proper. The Thonburi Food & Canals tour is a splendid way to get to know this sleepier side of the city while trying some terrific dishes. Our guide Bowvii was amazingly friendly and knew a ton about the different places we visited during the tour. The food on this tour was particularly exceptional, including some of the best soup and red prawn curry we've ever tried.
