What people say about this tour
We were a group of 5 and our guide was Lucy. Lucy took us to 5 interesting restaurants that spells the history and culture of Bangrak a.k.a. The Village of Love (Bang = Village Rak=Love). The restaurants we were in are atleast 30 years in business and is very popular to the locals of Bangkok. It wasn't touristy and so you will experience true local daily routine of Thais.Jen Y, TripAdvisor |
My wife and I did the Bang Rak tour and had enjoyed it. Bangkok is daunting in its size and this was a great way to orient ourselves. It gave us confidence ordering street food and in restaurants and courage to try new foods.Jake C, TripAdvisor |
Yiwah led us on a walking tour of 5 restaurants, a boat ride across the Chao Phraya, the Wat Suan Plu Temple, and the Immaculate Conception Church - a great tour of the Bang Rak area. She was a fantastic guide and even shared how to make the ubiquitous prik nam pla sauce (fish and chili sauce). The highlight dish for our group of 8 was the Thai-style fried chicken with lemongrass threads. So yummy!! She also purchased banana roti, fried bananas and tapioca balls, and green mango from street carts for us to taste. You will definitely finish the tour with a full stomach!Terry O, TripAdvisor |
Highly recommend! My husband, myself and our 9mth old went on the Historic Bangrak walking tour with our tour guide Kratai (aka Tiny). The food was fantastic and we were given a good summary of the history of the areas that we walked through. Tiny was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very caring - always making sure that everyone had what they needed.Philippa J, TripAdvisor |
