Description
Featured in Fodors as one of the ten best culinary programs in the world, the Central Thailand Rice and Spice Trail offers various aspects of Thai culture to travelers, be it beautiful historical attractions in Bangkok, Thai cooking class, tasting Thai cuisine, ancient ruins in Ayutthaya Historical Park, Thai village life, floating markets, as well as beach and wine. Throughout the experience, you will travel like a local while staying comfortably at luxurious accommodation. In Bangkok, dine like Thais do at restaurants famous among local diners and enjoy street food at Bangkok's biggest evening street food market, Chinatown. The days spent in Bangkok will also engage you with cultural and historical attractions that are on every traveler's lists.
A day trip to Ayutthaya will expose you to UNESCO's World Heritage site, Ayutthaya Historical Park where you marvel at over 400-year-old ancient ruins and learn the history of this Siam (former Thailand) kingdom in a nutshell. Then, we will go local in Samut Songkhram and Petchburi, an hour or two southwest of Bangkok. This Gulf of Thailand area teemed with mangrove forest does not only offer fresh air, but also intriguing sea fishermen's way of life. You will also experience world-famous floating markets often featured in postcards. At our final destination before returning to Bangkok, Hua Hin offers tranquil white-sand beaches, a world-standard winery, and a bustling handicraft night market. This experience will end with a beautiful memory of Bangkok, a panoramic view of Bangkok's metropolis from a sky bar, perhaps under a starry sky!
