Why this experience?

If you are an adventurous foodie, Bangkok is second to none for making your exotic food dreams come true. Anything you can eat, you can find in Bangkok, even the wildest things you cannot imagine people would eat! Our Bizarre Food Challenge takes you to hole in the wall restaurants famous among local diners for rare but delicious delicacies. Though the majority of Thai people are disturbed by these dishes, they are actually really delicious and are favorites of many people. Ranging from smelly fermented fish, frog, to pig brains, these food are definitely an acquired taste. Another fun thing you will experience is the different forms of transportation: a river ferry, a Tuk Tuk, and a train. We promise our Bizarre Food Challenge will be a weirdly yummy experience you will never forget!

Itinerary

Depart from Saphan Taksin BTS skytrain station where we meet to take a public ferry upstream on Chao Phraya River. We get off at Wang Lang Pier and walk to our first food stop - pig or cow blood noodle soup. Another short walk, we arrive at a Northeastern Thai (Issan) restaurant to try the smelly fish, and perhaps spicy bloody meat salad. Then we take a ferry across the river to Maharaj Pier, and take a Tuk Tuk to the pig brain ball restaurant. You may get to try sweet and savory sausage made from liver as well. Next we take a Tuk Tuk to Hua Lamphong Train Station to catch a train to Sam Saen neighborhood. At our 4th food stop, we have deep-fried frog skin, frog basil leaves, and perhaps deep-fried mackerel heads. At the last stop, we have chicken feet soup and finish our Bizarre Food Challenge with a dessert - grass jelly in syrup. The tour finishes at Saphan Kwai BTS skytrain station. You can easily go back to your hotel or proceed to other places from here.
