Description
Instead of traveling direct from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, see more of Thailand and enjoy the small charming towns en-route. These towns are located off the beaten paths and are rarely visited by average travelers who usually rush from Bangkok to the north. Yet, the nature in these towns is sublime, the villages are peaceful, the locals are warm-hearted, and the cultural attractions are far from being spoiled by tourism. Slowly moving northwards, you will experience historical ruins of ancient Siamese kingdoms of Ayutthaya and Sukhothai, visit beautiful Buddhist temples, stroll local wet markets, and enjoy riding a horse carriage through a charming downtown of Lampang Province.
However, the highlight of this experience is not on the attractions but on local delicacies. We make sure you eat like a local and get to taste the best delicacies of each area. But the time you arrive in Chiang Mai, you would have eaten a variety of Central Thai and Northern Thai dishes already. All guaranteed to be delectable!
