Brief Itinerary

Day 1: Kanchanaburi – Exotic Thai Jungle Food Tasting & World War II Memorial

 

Leave Bangkok early to begin the Breakfast tasting in Kanchanaburi town. Then, we will visit WWII historic sites, including Thailand-Burma Railway Center, Don Rak Cementary and the iconic Bridge over the River Kwai. Then, we will take on a train to Krasae cave station and continue by a thrilling walk on the Death Railway Wooden Bridge for an unforgettable view of the River Kwai. We will stop for lunch at the local restaurant. The destination for our afternoon is Sai Yok National Park, where will we see some artifacts from WWII, visit the serene Sai Yok Waterfall, and definitely take some food tastings. After we leave Sai Yok, your dinner will be served with Kanchanaburi’s signature “Thai Jungle Cuisine” such as stir-fried freshwater fish ball with jungle curry. For those who are adventurous, you will have a chance to try dish like deep-fried fork-leg with garlic! We checked in at the riverfront resort for a stay this night.

Day 2: Sangkhlaburi – Soft Adventure

 

After breakfast, we leave for Tong Pha Phoom market to purchase some food for a lunch picnic in the forest. Then, it is time to get to the Thai-Myanmar border city of Sangkhlaburi. As we get there around noon time, we will start our soft adventure journey, starting from a ferry ride to see the unseen sunken temple, elephant trekking into the jungle with local Karen people, a lunch picnic in the jungle, and a white-water bamboo rafting. Then, we will check in a resort with the most magnificent view of Sangklaburi city. We convene again around 6pm to start our Sangklaburi food tasting dinner. We will visit 3-4 locally-famous restaurants, where you will enjoy some local as well as some exotic foods, including Karen cuisine, local freshwater fish dish, local vegetable dish, and more.

 

Day 3: Hellfire Pass – Heart Touching Experience

 

We get up early today to get hands-on experience on the local tradition of Bhuddhist alms offering. We first walk along a fascinating wooden bridge – the Mon Bridge – crossing three rivers. After participating in the alms offering rituals, we will taste the traditional Mon cuisine. Then, after checking out from our beautiful resort, we will visit the famous Mon temple. Before leaving Sangklaburi, we will have a dessert at the shop run by a children’s home and community development center. We will stop by the Songalia river for lunch. Our last visit, and probably most emotional one, is the Hellfire Pass. Before heading back to Bangkok, we conclude our trip with the dinner, serving you with chef-inspired, fusion Jungle cuisine. We arrive back safely in Bangkok around 9pm.
