Something is new in the city of angels! A new floating market inside the city of Bangkok has been opened for the month of February. As Tourism Authority of Thailand or TAT invites locals and foreign tourists to Thailand, TAT has reinvented a floating market called Phadung Krung Kasem Floating Market. The new Bangkok floating market promotes how rich the culture of Thailand showcasing what life in Bangkok was like in the past when khlongs or canals were well used in transportation and trading. Since February 12, Phadung Krung Kasem Floating Market was created to attract more visitors and will be running until March 1, 2015.
Having the newest floating market inside Bangkok, you do not need to go to the nearby provinces. You can buy delicious foodies with the vendor on their boat. See how your favorite snacks were being prepared. Drink sugarcane juice in a bamboo glass or eating khanom buang or in English it’s Thai crepe, both are very delicious and very much Thai. You can also shop for Thai handicrafts that’s very artistic. The place also showcases beautiful orchids.
Going to Phadung Krung Kasem Floating Market is easy. Take the MRT all the way to Hua Lamphong Station. From the MRT station, follow the direction to Hua Lamphong Train Station, you can see a canal and a free boat ride is waiting for you to visit the newest floating market in the heart of Bangkok. The boat trip adds an amazing experience letting you see great architectural buildings and local neighborhood as well.
